As an Ordained Minister with Clergy Support Memorial Church, I believe that each couple planning their wedding should have the ceremony they desire. I have worked as a teacher, youth minister, and as chaplain in hospitals, prison, and schools. Originally from Vancouver, I now live in Cambridge, in the Galt district. I am a creative person who will do the utmost to incorporate your ideas into your personalized wedding ceremony. I have presided at over 300 weddings, facilitated groups, helped with motivational speaking, and thoroughly enjoy working with people from various beliefs and lifestyle choices. To this day I still enjoy working with kids, running youth drama programs, teaching drama skills and putting on performances. I look forward to being part of a day you will remember for years to come.
Susan who lives in Waterloo, came to us from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and she is one of our most experienced wedding officiants: "It would be my privilege to perform one of the most important events of your life. The ceremony is a special time of joyous celebration for the union being created between two people. I will do my utmost to make your ceremony reflect your individuality and uniqueness. I will conduct your ceremony as you want it to be. It's your day and I want to help make it all you want it to be."
Diane who lives in Waterloo is an award winning wedding officiant. Diane is a mature and caring person who has a dream: to help you experience a unique wedding ceremony that truly captures your love story. There are few days in a person's life as important as their wedding day and Hilde strives to help you make it exactly what you want it to be. Her years of leadership, mentoring, and public speaking experience gives couples confidence when selecting an officiant for their wedding.
Hilde has been married for over 30 years, she has two children and six grandchildren. She enjoys an active lifestyle -- loves to go hiking, take in a play, host dinner parties, and rock out to live music. But what she enjoys most is traveling, and experiencing the wonder of new cultures, languages, cuisines, and people.
Hilde believes that a wedding ceremony should be a true reflection of the love you and your partner share. It’s all about you and your special day.
Karen MacPherson Clark has become one of our most requested wedding officiants. She loves being known affectionately as “The Lady of Weddings” in her area. As an Appointed Minister, Karen welcomes the creativity of couples in developing their “personal memory moments” for their wedding day as a symbol of their loving commitment to their relationship. You will find that she looks forward to sharing this very special and cherished time with you as you express your love for each other. An award-winning Toastmaster, Karen is also a student of the healing arts, including acupressure, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Tong Ren, and BioGenesis. This can come in handy for any wedding day nervousness! She and her husband, Larry, love to go walking and sing in the choir. They are enchanted by their grandchildren and also get much joy and entertainment from their two cats, Moouse and Maggie. “The Lady of Weddings” will be delighted to be your officiant!
As an Ordained Minister with Clergy Support Memorial Church, I would be honoured to help you realize your vision for a wedding ceremony that conveys all the joy and thrill of your love for one another. I live in Kitchener with my husband Bruce, I am the father of two daughters (and a grandson), and we share our home with the companionship of a dog and two cats. My previous experience as a parish pastor for almost 30 years has provided me with the opportunity to celebrate weddings with many couples. I am an active member of Spectrum Community Space and I enjoy dedicating time supporting LGBTQ+ members of our communities. I look forward to the opportunity to work together with you to create a celebration as personal, creative and as fun as you wish it to be.
It is an honour and a joy for me to provide my expertise to prepare and lead a ceremony that reflects the unique characteristics of your journey in love. My goal is to help you to be fully present, aware and focused on each other during the wedding ceremony.
With a 30-year career as a high school teacher, multi-sport coach, and outdoor educator, I bring considerable skills in public speaking, managing logistics, humour and the ability to ‘think on my feet’. I look forward to collaborating with you to build a ceremony that embraces your vision, as well as welcoming all who are present that day with an inclusive, warm and friendly presence.
Please note that Sue is not available for indoor ceremonies in 2022.
