Rev. Ed Montano, B.Th., M.Div.
Ed lives in the Ottawa area with his wife (and best friend) and their dog (admittedly, a very spoiled dog). He's perfectly bilingual in English and Spanish, and he could also perform your wedding ceremony in basic French. Ed is an ordained priest with the United Free Catholic Church and holds his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees. His time is shared as Church Administrator, a hospital chaplain, and other community priestly duties. While he may sound a little “too churchy” for some folks, Fr. Ed understands that, on your wedding day, YOU are a blessing to the world and your day should be a most memorable one. Your married life journey begins with your wedding day, and he is only too happy to assist you to make that day your very own. Fr. Ed is comfortable officiating your wedding in summer comfort, in a suit with or without a tie on, or with a collar and priestly vestments if that’s your thing. Ed loves reading, doing research, and writing. He is also blessed with a musical family, playing musical instruments and singing. Fr. Ed and his wife loves golf, though you will probably never see him on the PGA Tour!

Very simple. The profiles were clear to us, and we identified which officiant we were interested in based on the information provided. Communication was then easy to be able to schedule a connection call. Our officiant was exceptionally friendly and proactive in helping us out. It went perfectly, couldn't have asked for better. While there are many stressful things about planning a wedding, having Rev. Ed [Montano] as your officiant won't be one of them. He said, "I don't want you to worry about anything" and it was true. We are so happy we hired Ed Montano for our wedding ceremony. From the beginning Ed took the time to understand what we hoped for in our ceremony and also made suggestions on how we could incorporate religious elements for our families. Ed was always quick to respond and very clear and friendly in his communication. On our wedding day Ed arrived early, dressed professionally, and greeted us, which helped settle our nerves quite a bit!
