He spends his spare time watercolor painting, playing the guitar, observing the night sky with his telescope, and spending time with his wife and children. Leigh was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. With an undergraduate in Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a B.A. in Canadian History from Trent University, Leigh has worked in government for over twenty years. She is a certified municipal officer and an experienced wedding officiant, conducting more than 200 wedding ceremonies since 2005. Leigh firmly believes in the right of couples to plan the special ceremony of their choosing. With confidence and experience, she looks forward to working with you to ensure your wedding ceremony is creative, unique, memorable, and reflects the values and sentiment you wish to bring to your special day.
I hope to use my many talents to make one the most important events of your life meaningful and memorable. I’m comfortable conducting the wedding ceremony of your choosing. I’m a B.A. graduate of Victoria College, University of Toronto in English Language and Literature, having also studied the Classics and Italian. After having enjoyed a career teaching high school English, Latin and Drama in Toronto for three decades, I’ve now retired to Bobcaygeon to run a Bed and Breakfast. My hobbies include the Arts, antiques, animals, and travel.
I’m a Peterborough/Kawarthas based bilingual officiant (English & French) with degrees from the University of Toronto and Laurentian with a passion for running and cycling. As a father to four daughters, I’ve seen first-hand how important, memorable and hectic wedding planning can be. Tim has 23 years of experience and has officiated 100’s of weddings in and around Owen Sound, Colborne and Havelock. He and his wife Marilyn live in Peterborough and have two children, two grandchildren and tank full of fish. Tim has a Bachelor of Theology from the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, and a Master of Education degree specializing in Learning Disabilities, and Educational Technology from Athabasca University. Officiating weddings has always been one of his most enjoyable tasks. Tim believes every wedding ceremony should be a joyful and unique experience for the couple. It will be his delight to apply his experience to your special day.
Lori is located in Selwyn, just outside of Peterborough, and was recently voted by her peers as the ‘Most Popular Wedding Officiant in Peterborough’ at the prestigious international Wedding Industry Experts 2016 Awards. Lori Hayes is passionate about helping others and wants to be a part of creating the wedding of their dreams. She is experienced in event planning and officiating ceremonies. Her gentle, caring nature allows the couple and their families to be at ease on their special day. She is comfortable performing personalized wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, baptismal and naming ceremonies. Lori is excited to serve those in the Peterborough and surrounding area.
Elizabeth lives at Omemee on a farm with spouse Peter and their three children. She is a graduate of Queens in English and Religion. She is a long time volunteer with the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies. Elizabeth is also active in 'Brainchild' , helping parents who have a child with a brain tumor. Elizabeth is a caring individual who will work with you to make your wedding ceremony all you want it to be. Her calm and professional manner will be a welcome part of your day.
Meredith is well known and respected in Newcastle, Lindsay, Peterborough, and surrounding communities as a successful business person, teacher and music director. She has her B.A. from Brock and her B.Ed degree from Nipissing. Meredith is a very experienced wedding officiant and in great demand. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys oil painting and spending time with her three Labrador retrievers. She is very much looking forward to meeting with you and planning your memorable day.
Brenda is a wife, mother, and grandmother living in Norwood in the Peterborough area. She’s very family oriented and absolutely loves when generations overlap in celebration. Complementing her vivacious personality, Brenda is a very organized, thorough, and creative individual who is open to performing your personalized wedding ceremony. Her hobbies include reading, baking (especially pies) and running 5 km charity runs. As an active Appointed Designated Minister she is is also continuingly exercising mind, soul, and spirit. With years of experience public speaking, she looks forward to helping make your wedding day remarkably original and distinctly personalized.
Brenda Whiteman is well known and respected in the Peterborough area and is a passionate advocate for living a healthy and happy life. Nothing speaks to the beauty of emotional health and well-being than the hopeful and faithful nature of the decision to marry. Brenda studied Philosophy and Religion as an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto and is a Registered Social Worker. Brenda spends her time reading, writing for professional journals and dabbling in interior decorating. She feels honored to serve as a Wedding Officiant and will bring your personal vision of a spiritual or interfaith wedding ceremony to your day. She is also pleased to do vow renewals, baptisms and naming ceremonies.
