Suzanne enjoyed a teaching career with the Upper Canada Board and Algonquin College in Ottawa. After many years of working and raising a family in Russell, Ontario, she and her husband retired and settled in beautiful Lanark County. Suzanne enjoys swimming, cycling, yoga, volunteering locally and sharing this beautiful environment with friends, family and grandchildren. She respects anyone's choice of religion and right to marry. With her warm personality and great communication skills, Suzanne is ready to work with you to make your celebration special, personal and memorable – whether it is indoors or outdoors, a traditional or casual ceremony, same gender, or a spiritual celebration in the park or by the lake!
Mike and his family live at their cottage in Portland near Smiths Falls from May to October and in Stittsville, the rest of the year. Mike was an officer with the Canadian Armed Forces and also a Federal civil servant. He is an experienced facilitator and public speaker comfortable in any setting. Not only will he work hard to perform your traditional or spiritual wedding ceremony to meet your needs, but Mike’s casual sense of humour will ensure your guests are relaxed while easing your mind so that you can truly savour the moment. During the summer Mike and his wife Terry can be found riding their motorcycles or enjoying quiet evenings boating, while winter will find them ballroom dancing to the sounds of big band music.
I’ve been a long-term resident of the Carleton Place area and having raised my three sons, I am now available to help others like you, celebrate your love and commitment to each other. I’m an experienced motivational speaker and I have been told that people remember my Scottish brogue. It adds something a wee bit different to any occasion. As a happy and upbeat person, I love to read, enjoy my daily walks and visiting with friends. I now live in the small community of Toledo ON but serve many towns in the area: Perth, Smiths Falls, Westport and Brockville. My wife and I enjoy caring for our flower gardens and beautiful big yard, which is also enjoyed by our dog Shelby. I am told that I am friendly and caring person with a big heart. Allison lives in Carleton Place and is the proud parent of three children. She enjoys riding horses, kayaking, and gardening. She also skates, hikes, and has performed in musical theatre. She’s active in charities that support animal welfare. Allison is excited to join in your commitment to each other and make your day all you want it to be.
