Love for many is embodied in the commitment made in a wedding. Shelley is a Appointed minister. There are few things more meaningful than the wedding ceremony reflecting the love you share. I would be honoured to officiate your wedding no matter the vision for your ceremony. We will create into the ceremony any customs that are meaningful to you because a wedding should be about you and your partner. I can read Hebrew and am familiar with some of the Jewish customs celebrated in a wedding. “The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard but must be felt with the heart.” Helen Keller.
It’s an honour and a privilege to be asked to perform your wedding ceremony. How can one not want to share and be part of the energy that surrounds the love of two people. My family and our dog Dixie live a simple life in Kanata. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their adventures, and so I volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Sports Club. My hobbies include a good mystery novel or movie and trying to find out “who done it” before the ending. Although I don’t have a green thumb, I enjoy puttering in my garden and sampling the tastes of the fruits of my labour.
Peter is an award winning wedding officiant. He says:'It would be his absolute pleasure to be your wedding officicant for one of the most important milestones you will experience in your life. He is open to any and all types and theme weddings. My 35 years of experience in the Canadian Military has given me the opportunity to grow and experience a wide variety of communities. This has given me the ability to relate to many different cultures. My wife Marie and I have been married for 33 years and have lived in Kanata for over 10 years. We are retiring in Ottawa to remain close to our family. I am an active volunteer within my community and an advocate for our youth. During my free time I enjoy swimming, cycling and most of all taking long hikes with Maggie, our golden retriever. I am a caring and compassionate individual who will work closely with you to ensure a positive experience on your special day. Warning! Peter is much in demand.
