I’m a Napanee 'local', and the South Shore Hay Bay area has been my life-time home. I’ve been married since 1981 and we’ve been blessed with so much in life including two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. One of the things I did after I returned to the 'work world' was to become a Designated Minister so I could conduct Life Celebrations like weddings or Baptisms. In addition, I love to quilt, enjoy woodworking and gardening, and have the satisfaction of something to show for all my hard work! I’m professional, warm and easy-going and I will ensure you are satisfied with the wedding ceremony you expect.
Born and raised in Northern Ontario, I am the proud mother of two adult children and have called Kingston home for over a decade. Fluently bilingual in French and English, I consider my role as an Appointed Designated Minister with Clergy Support Memorial Church as an opportunity to have fun and help make your important occasion special for you. My pastoral services extend beyond Life Celebrations, as I work with many non-profit organizations assisting people with the services so desperately needed in our community. I am a cheerful, outgoing, and open-minded person who understands the importance of taking care of people and the planet as I also have a great respect for diversity and inclusion. I look forward to helping you make your wedding ceremony special by listening to your ideas and wishes.
Margaret McDonald is this year's recipient of the prestigious Wedding Industry Experts Award as voted by her peers as Canada's most popular Wedding Officiant for the Kingston area. Margaret was born and raised in Kingston and continues to live there with her husband and two daughters. After being a kidney donor for her nephew in 2009, she extended her pastoral field to include activities dealing with the Kidney Foundation as well as the Transplant Advocacy Association. Although always a glass half-full individual, Margaret feels the transplant experience has really made her a 'celebrate life' kind of gal. What better way to do that than to share with couples their joy on the happiest day of their lives. She is energetic and sincere and has a great sense of humour. Margaret would make your ceremony everything you want it to be.
