Rick and I live in Brockville, have six children, plus we have been blessed with three granddaughters. I have always been the go to person in the family for gatherings and special occasions. I look forward to working with you to make your personalized ceremony a memory that will last a lifetime. My background was in the Retail Financial sector so putting clients at ease is now second nature to me. I’m a warm, friendly and outgoing person and I would ensure to my utmost ability that your wedding day would be all that you have imagined it would be.
Daniel (Dan) lives in the country near Cardinal, a graduate of Carleton University with both a BA and MA in Political Science. He is now a small business owner and active member of the community. Dan enjoys supporting his two teenage daughters in their extracurricular activities, and volunteering with the South Grenville Food Bank, the Beth Donovan Hospice and his Masonic Lodge. An avid public speaker, music lover and vocal performer, Dan is comfortable performing any type of wedding ceremony, to give each couple the right touch to their very special day.
Kerry lives in Frankville, Ontario. You won’t find a warmer people person who goes out of her way to help others in any way she can. She is accepting of all spiritual paths as she feels that we are all connected and we are all one. Like many she grew up appreciating the peace and quiet, singing, and reflection church services offered, but as an adult she also recognizes the spiritual teaching of people like the Dalai Lama. She loves nature and would be pleased to conduct your wedding ceremony in a garden, forest, or cottage setting if that appeals to you. She looks forward to creating the day of your dreams with you.
I now live in the small community of Toledo ON but serve many towns in the area: Perth, Smiths Falls, Westport and Brockville. My wife and I enjoy caring for our flower gardens and beautiful big yard, which is also enjoyed by our dog Shelby. I am told that I am friendly and caring person with a big heart. I would love to meet you and honoured to be part of your special wedding ceremony.
Brenda feels fortunate to live with her husband in the beautiful community of Landsdowne, among the beautiful Thousand Islands. They just celebrated their own Renewal of Vows ceremony for their 25th anniversary! Brenda has been dedicated to counselling people in her community for many years, and feels blessed to have the opportunity to marry others. She enjoys conducting personalized wedding ceremonies and has a great deal of experience speaking and working in public. You will find her open, with a sense of humour, and respectful. Her two dogs make sure she’s out walking daily, and if that doesn’t keep her fit, she plays pickle ball twice a week. Brenda is a good listener, flexible, empathetic person, and will help couples to experience their special day according to their needs.
Gayle Poapst (pronounced Popst) lives in Johnstown, smack dab between Prescott and Cardinal. She will bring warmth, compassion, and a calm confidence to your special day, creating a safe and supportive environment for you and your loved ones. She can offer traditional weddings or include Buddhist inspired parts as well as a traditional fire puja chanted in Sanskrit. She is currently working on building a school and birthing centre in rural India. “My dharma is to love and serve and what better way to do this than to share in the ceremony of uniting two people in their wedding ceremony.”
Born and raised in Brockville, Peter has spent much of his life in the service of others. He and his wife raised their three daughters in this community and are proud grandparents of one granddaughter (so far!). Peter began his career as a trained Chef and, after catering over 200 weddings, he intuitively knows those little details that it takes to please a bride and groom on their big day. Performing ceremonies brings him joy. You won’t find a more conscientious, emotionally invested person than Peter. His biggest fault is not being able to say ‘no’. As a former member of the Kinsmen Club he received his Life Time Achievement Award. He has a great interest in the theatre, both musical, dramatically as well as improvisational and, as such, has a flair for adventure. Peter is an Appointed Designated Minister in Clergy Support Memorial and he looks forward to helping you make your wedding memorable.
