I’ve been a long-term resident of the Carleton Place area and having raised my three sons, I am now available to help others like you, celebrate your love and commitment to each other. I’m an experienced motivational speaker and I have been told that people remember my Scottish brogue. It adds something a wee bit different to any occasion. As a happy and upbeat person, I love to read, enjoy my daily walks and visiting with friends. Larry was recently voted by his peers as the ‘Most Popular Wedding Officiant in Renfrew’ at the prestigious international Wedding Industry Experts Awards. Larry and his wife live in Renfrew, ON. You will find him a caring, people oriented person who is honest and dedicated to helping couples with their non-denominational wedding ceremony; be it an interfaith, same sex or spiritual wedding ceremony. Larry is a father and grandfather, and he himself has been married 32 years. As a Designated Minister he was educated at Canadore College, North Bay, ON, he went on to spend a long and distinguished career helping others. Larry’s hobbies include a good round of golf, curling, cooking and fishing. Larry is licenced in Ontario and Quebec and brings to the table a lot of life experiences to help couples celebrate your special day, your way! He is a one of our most requested officiants in Eastern Ontario.
As a Designated Minister my former career was as a Commisioned RCMP officer. I also had the most rewarding experience to travel to Africa and consult in the rebuilding of the Sierra Leone Police force. More recently, I enjoyed a four year term as Councillor for the Township of Greater Madawaska. Today, my wife Donna and I and our Portuguese Waterdog Mitzy, enjoy the great outdoors at home in Calabogie, and where I indulge in one of my passions; gardening. I look forward to officiating whatever type of wedding ceremony you would like for your special day.
Marianne sees the need for wedding officiants who are willing to meet the needs of the couple in a caring and loving environment. Marianne lives and teaches in Carleton Place, and volunteers her time acting, directing, and writing for community theatre. Belinda is from Renfrew, ON and has been assisting people reach their goals her whole adult life. Whether it has been in helping the disabled, or as an intervener and advocate for the deaf blind, her goal has always been to empower others. Her job at a wedding , as she sees it is to create a space of relaxed and joyful union, and she bases this belief on her broad experience working with people. As a wedding planner and florist, planning weddings with couples has given Belinda an appreciation of their diversity, and she looks forward to serving the needs of every couple in her capacity as their Wedding Officiant. Belinda is also available for handfasting vows, Baptisms and Baby Naming ceremonies in the Ottawa and Renfrew area until Aug 13th, 2018.
Rick brings a measure of experience in public speaking and performing weddings. Add a dash of organizational skills with a touch of fun he’ll make your special wedding ceremony exactly what you want. All types of relationships, ethnicities and settings, will be delightfully welcomed as he helps prepare you for the most memorable day in your life together. Rick was raised in the U. S. and has a Master’s degree in Liberal/Cultural Studies from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH. Rick has enjoyed a few careers, including a decade as a pastor and a stint as a popular radio host since moving to Canada in 2002. Now, he and Elisabeth, three pussycats and backyard full of birdfeeders live in Almonte.
Sandra, who lives in Braeside, believes that when it comes to your wedding day, it truly is “all about you”. You deserve to have the wedding ceremony of your dreams, and I would be honored to have the opportunity of working with you to make your vision a reality. I enjoy expressing myself through poetry and art. Other hobbies are reading, gardening and fishing. I have always been eager to help people so I trained and worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Grace Hospital in Ottawa. Then my wish to continue learning, combined with wanting to be creative, led me to train in Event Planning at Algonquin College. With that knowledge I have successfully organized a fundraiser for cancer, given consultation to brides and helped with a local bridal fair. As a Designated Minister , whatever your need may be, I would be thrilled to help you with the happiest, most magical and memorable wedding ceremony of your life.

I reside in Carleton Place, and I am married with six children, giving me the understanding of family. I have been actively involved over the years in a number of charitable community initiatives, such as the Lions Club and the Cancer Society. It’s an honour and a privilege to be asked to perform your traditional, spiritual or interfaith wedding ceremony. How can one not want to share and be part of the energy that surrounds the love of two people. My family and our dog Dixie live a simple life in Kanata. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their adventures, and so I volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion and the Sports Club. My hobbies include a good mystery novel or movie and trying to find out “who done it” before the ending. Although I don’t have a green thumb, I enjoy puttering in my garden and sampling the tastes of the fruits of my labour.
