Presenting or "Giving Away" Question

Though it is an older custom, some couples still like to include this moment at the end of the processional. If there is a partner walking down the aisle, escorted by a parent/guardian/friend, the officiant can ask a variation of these questions:

Who gives/presents this woman to be married to this man? 
Who presents (Spouse name #1) to be married to (Spouse name #2)? 
Who supports/blesses (Spouse name #1) as she/he/they marries/marry (Spouse name #2) today?

The answer can differ depending on the family's preference. It can be:
"I do."
"We do."
"Her mother and I do."
"[He/She/They] give[s] [himself/herself/themself], but we offer the blessing of our family.”
"On behalf of those here today and those who have gone before, I give our blessing.”

The question can also be asked in a more inclusive way to include the families of both partners.

Who presents this couple to be married to each other?
All parents say, “We do.”

The question can be flipped to accept a new family member. Do you give your blessing for this marriage, and promise to receive [Spouse name] as a member of your family from here on?

This "hand-off" can also be managed with handshakes and hugs, and no words at all!
