I’m a friendly, caring, high-energy individual with a terrific sense of humour; one of my favorite things is meeting new people. Married to my husband and long-time partner for many years; we have a son and two beautiful granddaughters. I retired in 2014 from the Ministry of the Attorney General where I was a Court Reporter. Living just outside of Owen Sound on the beautiful shores of Georgian Bay with our only baby still left at home, Sassy, an 80-pound Doberman who thinks she is a lapdog. In my spare time, I sing bass with a woman’s barbershop chorus for 20 years and am also part of a quartet with the same group. Music has always been a large part of my life and it isn’t unusual to hear me singing away. I have a passion for sewing, gardening, stained glass creations, decorating and most of all being Grandma. I would love to have the opportunity to officiate at your non-denominational or spiritual wedding ceremony and know I can help make your day a truly exceptional and memorable experience.
Jonathan joined the Canadian Armed Forces soon out of high school and after thirty-five years of traveling around the world and experiencing army life he his wife Gabrielle and their Britney Spaniel, Briar have decided to retire to the quaint village of Bognor, close to the shores of Georgian Bay. He’s keeping active with online studies with the University of New Brunswick in Occupational Health and Safety. This still leaves him with lots of time to pursue his favourite duty as a wedding officiant. He knows everyone deserves the wedding ceremony of their dreams and with Jonathan as their officiant anything is possible. He’s good with any setting, and with themes that are only limited by your imagination.

I have lived 30 plus years on the Bruce Peninsula overlooking beautiful Colpoys Bay in Wiarton, where my three children grew up. One of my greatest passions is my bees. Beekeeping has helped me to gain more tolerance, acceptance, patience, and a strong determination to succeed. After observing the need in our community for non-denominational but meaningful spiritual wedding rites, I become an Officiant. My goal is to assist you as a couple in creating a wedding ceremony that is unique to your values and personal meaning. It would give me much pleasure to be part of your special day as your officiant bringing forth a fun and spirited outlook.
I live at our summer place at Sauble Beach near Owen Sound from May to September and back home in Newmarket from October to May. I would love to be part of your Special Day at any location, a hall, backyard, cottage, beach or the place you always dreamed of getting married. I am open to performing all types of wedding ceremonies; traditional, spiritual or something in between. I grew up in the small town of Port Hope, graduated from Loyalist College, Law and Security Program and now have a wonderful job in the Security Industry. I am looking forward to helping guide you through your ceremony and give you the comfort in knowing that things will go well.
